2017 MEET SCHEDULE

February 25, 2017 The Annual Knuckle Buster Chapter Meet (Bob Grubb)

The annual February Knuckle Buster Meet will once again be held at Lake Wynonah near Auburn, PA starting at 8:00 AM. (No early birds please.) The meet is within the gated Lake Wynonah community which must be accessed from PA Route 183. It is 6 1/2 miles north of I-78. If you use mapping that directs you to a gate entering from Berne DR., this is not a pubic entrance. The swap meet will be held at the community lodge which should be found at 2537 Wynonah Dr. Auburn, PA on GPS and mapping services. A Continental breakfast and hot lunch will be served. Registration will be $7 per person. A shuttle will be provided to transport folks about a mile from the lodge parking area to my home and antique outboard museum building and back. The museum slowly but steadily gets updates and additions, so be sure to visit. We will have our annual business meeting at 11:30 AM and lunch at noon. The museum will be closed during the meeting and lunch period and will reopen after lunch. Overnight accommodations: For folks coming from the East on I-78, there is a Microtel at the Rt. 61N exit (Cabella's). There is a Dutch Motel and a Scottish Inn at the Shartlesville exit, but neither of these is recommended because of poor prior reports. If you are coming down I-81 from the North, there is a Day's Inn, a Ramada Inn and Pottsville Motor Inn in Pottsville on Route 61. For folks coming from the South or West (I-83, I-81, or I-78) there is a Comfort Inn at the Midway exit. If you are coming from the South and East by way of Reading, (PA 183) you might want to go West on I-78 to the Comfort Inn at Midway. E-mail or call for any additional information you need.
